Thank you for visiting my website! I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Price College of Business, the University of Oklahoma. I have been an Assistant Professor of Finance at A. B. Freeman School of Business, Tulane University from 2012-2019.


My main research interests are broadly in asset pricing, especially in the economic implications of financial derivatives, investment, and risk management. My research work has won several awards, including the Best Paper Awards from Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and the Dong Energy Prize for Best Paper from the European Financial Association (EFA).


I teach Financial Risk Management, and Energy Assets and Commodities for MBA and M.S. in Finance at the University of Oklahoma. I have taught Options, Derivatives and Risk Management for MBA, Master of Finance, and undergraduate students at Tulane University, where I won the Dean’s Excellence Teaching Awards in 2017.


I am originally from Gansu, China, and I received my Ph.D. in Finance from McGill University in 2012.
